What are the main functions of the colon?
The main functions are to eliminate waste, conserve water and synthesize nutrients such as some B complex vitamins and vitamin K.
How does colon hydrotherapy prevent disease?
Periodic cleansing of the colon dilutes the toxic concentration in the bowels, resulting in reduced load on the liver and lymphatic systems, and supports the other eliminative organs of the body (skin, lungs, kidneys, lymph) for better function.
When an unusual burden is placed on any one system, a breakdown occurs affecting the body as a whole.
Cleansing the colon prevents the overburden of toxic substances to accumulate, thereby addressing the cause of many degenerative diseases.
Indications for Colon Hydrotherapy:

Some common signs of Colon toxicity:
constipation, diarrhea, backache, headache, fatigue, bad breath, body odor, skin problems, abdominal gas, bloating, confusion, irritability, feeling of heaviness, lethargy, recurrent cold and flu, digestive disturbances, yeast infections, insomnia, allergies, dark circles under eyes, depression, muscle pain and parasites.
How does Colon Therapy differ from Enemas?
Colon therapy offers much more thorough cleansing of the colon than enemas can, as an enema's action can only reach as far as the sigmoid area (see illustration on left). A Colon irrigation can go as far as the ascending colon and cecum area, (depending on the state of the colon, this may take more sessions).
How long does a Colon treatment take?
On your first visit we will discuss your health concerns, you will fill out an intake form, and the procedure will be explained prior to your colonic. This takes between 20-30 minutes. The treatment itself takes 35-45 minutes, and includes specific massage techniques to help remove waste.
The first visit can take up to 1 1/2 hours, and subsequent visits are usually one hour in length.
How often should one have colonics?
For health maintenance colonics are used in combination with detoxification programs that include cleansing diets, exercise, skin brushing, and probiotic supplementation. Often a series of three to four colonic sessions is necessary to achieve desired results, followed by regular sessions one to three months apart.
Cost of Treatment:
Single session $70
Multiple sessions $60

Why Colon Hydrotherapy?
Many physicians through the ages have considered the colon to be the 'seat' of health or disease, and that it is of the utmost importance to keep the colon in good functioning working order.
This is because the colon is where we store fecal waste until it is eliminated out of the body, and waste which remains in the colon for some time becomes toxic. Poisons from this toxic waste can re-enter the body through the bloodstream, leading to what is called auto-intoxification.
Colon Hydrotherapy is a preventative and therapeutic treatment which assists you in establishing a healthy colon, and once attained, in maintaining a clean and toxic-free organ.
Colon Hydrotherapy involves filling the colon with warm, filtered water, which effectively : flushes out putrefactive waste
: hydrates the colon
: removes (bad) bacteria buildup, and
provides a better environment for microflora
: relieves gas
: softens and removes impactions
: tonifies the colon, thereby improving
peristalsis
: enhances elimination, and return of
regular bowel movements
: improves immune function
