Yukon Ayurveda Retreat & Wellness Centre
Yukon Ayurveda Retreat & Wellness Centre describes the location and the mission of our retreat centre, dedicated to promote wellness and health for all who come here. We are situated on the banks of the Takhini river, in a wide valley ringed by majestic mountains...truly a healing place.
We are excited to be offering a variety of therapies that you can choose from, and the addition in November 2009 of our beautiful sauna building has added a whole new dimension that supports cleansing and healing programs.
We invite you to look at what is available, and feel free to create your own program in consultation with us for full or half days of relaxation and peace in our serene setting.
Barbara Drury
Barbara studied at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico which offered an intensive course of study under the guidance of Dr. Vasant Lad, a highly-respected teacher and doctor of Ayurveda.
Since returning from successful completion of her studies in June, 2008, Barbara has been working to fulfill her dream building an Ayurvedic retreat centre.
She also completed her certification requirements for colon hydrotherapy, (February 2009) at Prime Pacific Health Innovations Corporation in North Vancouver, B.C., and has incorporated these treatments into her Ayurvedic practice as well.
Appointments can be made with Barbara for treatments at the Yukon Ayurvedic Retreat and Wellness Centre.
